Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor who is best known for playing House in the Fox Medical drama House. She was raised in Wayne where she was a part of a traditional Jewish tradition. At the age of 18, she emigrated to New York City to study at Tisch School of the Arts. She was soon involved in club culture, causing enough fuss to draw the media's attention. She eventually used her experience and fame to write and compose the musical called Positive Me in which she was a part of. Awake to the Wild Side, a show she hosted for MTV quickly became her new assignment. The actress began appearing in television and film shows after the show ended. At first, she appeared in small roles.
