Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a popular American after winning American Idol's first season. She was not only launched into stardom by her win however, she also signed the contract for several albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records. In the years since, she's released many studio albums. Three of that reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just fell short of the top spot. Her name is among American Idol's most successful performers. She tried her hand at popularity with diverse musical and theme style, and often wrote the songs herself. As a result of her distinctiveness and talent as a performer her work was recognized by the media and received a number of important awards. The Grammy Award is her most famous recognition. Apart from her singing profession, she has also worked in film and TV. She also wrote her children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and been involved in numerous charities.
