LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) was an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James, he's widely considered to be the most successful basketball player ever and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan during debates about the best basketball player ever. James has four NBA championships. Four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. And two Olympic gold medals. James has scored more points in the playoffs. He has the second-most career points and ranks seventh among career assists. He was named as an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named for the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. He's played in ten NBA Finals the third most of all time, with eight games in succession between 2011 and 2018. James has been selected for his place on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player who has scored 10,000+ points, rebounds, and assists during his professional career, in 2022. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, which is located in his hometown in Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media for his potential as an NBA superstar. He was a prep-to pro and was the first selection from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft in 2003. In 2004 he was named NBA Rookie. Then, he quickly was one of the league's best players, and won the NBA MVP title in both 2009 & 2010. James failed to win the award with Cleveland, and then left Cleveland in 2010 as"a "free agent" in the year 2010. This decision was made during the television special The Decision.
